If you live in DC or have ever been down here during the 2nd or 3rd week in September you know it's about to buzz. I mean it's about to be nothing but nude heels, pocket squares, fresh edges, and Uber rides for the one event people plan their calendars around for: CBC Weekend aka Old Black Ppl Freaknik. If you ever wanted to have your fill of high falutin', uppity, pretentious black people CBC week is definitely the time to get it. And you know I definitely made sure that my hair was right and my new makeup came in before I hit these city skreets!

Well Hello Autumn

If you were in DC yesterday you felt that temperature drop. Which could only mean Summer is making its smoove way out and Fall is right around the corner. I love the Fall. Especially in NY. My hometown thrives on hoodie and trench weather. A change in season means a change in colors and shades. Get ready to break out your purples, burgundies, browns, deep reds, and indigos! Something tells me I'm going to be organizing lipsticks some time this weekend just to make sure my Autumn arsenal is locked and ret' ta go. It's been a pretty good Summer, let's hope for an even better Autumn! 

Finally got to break out the Milani Lipstick in Cabaret Blend.  The morning Sun is being a hater but I paired it with browns and purples from my Morphe 35-S Color Smoky Palette

Petty Mayonnaise

Happy Friday guys!  One of the things about growing older and working in a professional environment is having to deal with fuckery in the workplace.  I want to be able to say that I'm a full blown adult and that stuff doesn't get to me but it does.  It really does.  And I can't say that I have always been the most mature about things.  I think it's just fine tho to be just a little petty sometimes.  Cheers to you Petty Tendergrass who is not bringing in donuts any more cause someone snitched on him. Raise a glass Petty Boop and all the mofos that can kiss your entire ass if they think you picking up the phone anymore.  And salute to you Petty Mayonnaise for that limp handshake you're about to give that bitch if she even thinks we're cool after she had shit to say about you.  Do not let the desire to be mature about shit deter you from having a petty moment.  Live Free and Die Petty!!

Summer Pho

Today's post is inspired by my lunch. For the last month and some change, I've been wanting some delicious Pho.  If you don't know what pho is, get your life find you a Vietnamese or white friend have them take you to Pho #45 or #07 or Pho Viet or whichever one you can find and get you some.  Usually, there's a pho truck near my job that hasn't been around for a good solid minute.  And I couldn't shake the feeling of wanting some.  Then as I was doing my lunch walk because I haven't done grocery shopping in forever, there was a pho truck.  And the Lord said, it was good.  Sometimes it takes forever and a day for something you want to come.  Despite how long it takes, know that if you want something bad enough it will eventually come.  Exercise patience and waiting and a touch of good luck and you too can get some summer pho.

Labor Day

Carib massive u already know what it is! It's a day off of work, a chance to fete in the streets, and pretty much the last chance to shenaniganize. It's been a decent summer so I'm looking forward to Fall!

Yes. Yes I am Haitian. And I did bright eyes today. I have Ibiza on the lid, Dare in the crease, and Coconut in the outer corner all by ColourPop. On the lip I kept it simple with NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien, lined with Cork and glossed with Paradise Pink by Sephora
