I feel like I've been in a perpetual slow clap since Sunday since Viola Davis stomped up the stage, in her regal-ass voice said what all Black women know to be true, "Black women can't be stopped when you give us the chance." But like fareal. A lot of the women on my squad are killing the game right now, straight homicide. I couldn't tell you what it is. Don't know if it's being told you're not (fill in the blank) enough, or just sheer will, but we are storming the gates, glittering in Black excellence right now and I'm here for it. I hope all Black women can take Viola, Uzo, and Regina's wins on Sunday as a clarion call for what's on the horizon. We're about the drown this world in our talent, hope y'all ready for some Black Gurl Excellence!
