Showdown at the O.K. Coral

So congrats to me.  Didn't realize I hit 100 posts yesterday until just now.  I'm glad I found something that I could stick with.  I notoriously lose interest in things, hobbies, people, very easily.  TGIT btw it means we only have one more day holding us hostage from the 3 day weekend and we start drinking our cares away.  And it's about to be good weather this weekend?! Gurl stahp! I can tell you that I spent my summer working and worrying about work and paying for my dog to be taken care of while I was away.  What did y'all do this summer? I need to live vicariously through someone.

I promise you I'm not tired like this photo would suggest.  Keeping it summery with Yasmin Matte Lipstick by ColourPop on top of Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids lipstick in Vibrant Mandarin all outlined in Cherry by MAC.  On the eyes I kept it simple with neutrals, browns, and golds from the Smashbox Full Exposure palette.

Pink and Choose

Sometimes I'm more witty and creative than I realize and I end up blowing my own mind.  Like last night, I came up with today's title cause it was clever and then this morning as I am taking pictures to showcase I couldn't pick which picture I liked. PINK and CHOOSE!  PINK AND CHOOSE!! Mind-Blown! And yes I'm being fareal, I don't think normal people even joke about being this mind-bottling to themselves (yep, mind-bottling, if you don't know what that is consult Blades of Glory).  In any event, happy hump day and enjoy the last unofficial week of summer! 

Same lipstick even though it looks different -- it's Uptown Mauve by Milani Cosmetics.  On the eyes I have on ColourPop Drift, on the lid I have Rose pigment by MAC and in the corner I have Shameless by ColourPop.

Greatest Month Ever

It's September 1st indicating it's the greatest month to ever do it and we should all be excited about it. Yesterday I was thwarted by work and a lil bit of my own procrastination to post #UnofficialEndofSummerChallenge. In case you don't know Labor Day is this Monday and marks the unofficial end of summer (summer officially ends Sept. 23rd because God is love). For this last week of summer I'm challenging you all to show off your best summer lips. Give me your pinks, your corals, your peachy nudes, and vibrant reds. I've been seeing some awesome colors this summer and would love to see more before we officially call it a quits.

Keeping it bright and fun in All Fired Up Retro Matte Lipstick by MAC.  On the eyes I used Cleopatra in the crease and Wolf in the outer corner from the Ladybird palette by Kat Von D.  On my lid I have Sephora Baked Eyeshadow trio is Sunray.

Nostalgia for 1

Let me start off by saying the Spice Girls were gahdamn amazing.  I'm fareal. They were and if you don't believe me just check out Holler from 2009 when Geri was feeling herself and left the group.  They were still killing it.  And if you still don't believe me check them out at the 2012 Olympic Closing ceremony.  Pretty sure I passed out halfway through it.  I just had to let y'all know that.  Like Lil' Kim emerging from the BET stage like an ebony phoenix, the Spice Girls were able to revive that part of me as a young person that thought anything was possible.  I remember being 8 and wanting to be 16, and then being 16 and wanting to be 18, and then being 18 and wanting to be 21.  Now me and my liver just wanna go back to being 8 years old.  I don't even know what put me on the kick to revisit the awkward years when my teeth were too big for my mouth, but I surely miss those days.  Those were the easy days, the salad days (if you get the Coen reference you are awesome sauce!).  The best days were that TV rolling into the classroom meant 30 minutes of goof off, snow days meant no school, and a prize at the bottom of the cereal box was life changing.  Now the best part of the day will be the very end of it when I get to leave, go drink, and play with my dog.  Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll play N*SYNC in the bar.

I'm looking very unassuming in D for Danger by MAC.  Topped off with my 35S-35 Color Smoky Palette by Morphe.  Got some light blue and dark gray going, cause I can.

Pink-achu!

Be fresh y'all! It's almost Friday which for some of us means payday and for others another week of grilled cheese sandwiches.  I can almost feel the fall walking its fresh ass up underneath my door. Don't get me wrong I love the fall but that 60 degree weather it can keep.  I enjoy a balmy 70 degree weather day but we'll see how long the weather will hold out in DC.  In the meantime, hold on to the good weather we have now and the smiles!

I'm sporting a pinky nude today! Maybelline Pinkalicious lined with MAC Cork all glossed with Covergirl Queen Collection Colorlicious lip gloss in Starlet Sand.  On the eyes I pulled out a VERY old Sephora palette and have gold on the lids, blue in the outer corner, and coral in the inner corner
